Your gift could change a life forever! Here's how you can make a difference:
- $1000 provides a full summer of day camp for a child
- $500 provides youth sports for four children for a season.
- $250 provides a child with two weeks of quality after-school care.
- $100 provides eight swim lessons for a child.
James M. Jackson Society
The James M. Jackson Society was created in 2006 to honor and recognize those who contribute to furthering the philanthropic welfare of the YMCA of Greater Miami. Nearly half of the dollars raised comes from the generous members of our Jackson Society who give an annual gift of $1,000 or more to the YMCA. The James M. Jackson Society promotes both unrestricted and restricted giving.
Recognition: In appreciation of your support and commitment to helping the YMCA build strong kids, strong families and strong communities, all Jackson Society members will receive:
- Recognition in the YMCA of Greater Miami’s Annual Report.
- Recognition on the Jackson Society donor wall at the YMCA of Greater Miami's Association Office.
- Recognition on a donor wall in your branch's lobby.
- An invitation to an annual reception in January honoring members of the James M. Jackson Society.

Capital Campaign
Capital campaigns often offer exciting opportunities to become further involved in the life of the YMCA. In order to serve the growing demand for programs and to meet the changing needs of our families the YMCA of Greater Miami has launched a capital campaign to raise $27 million to build three new YMCA facilities in Allapattah, South Dade and Southwest. Endowment and Planned Giving
Many friends of the YMCA are helping to extend its influence beyond their own lifetimes with gifts of assets they have accumulated. Such gifts can be directed to support the overall work of the YMCA or can be designated to support a specific YMCA branch or program.

The Heritage Club
The YMCA of Greater Miami’s endowment fund provides financial stability to our YMCA, enabling us to plan today for tomorrow's possibilities and challenges, preserving the YMCA of Greater Miami for future generations. Through the Heritage Club, we are able to recognize the people who make this endowment possible. Considerable tax benefits may be available to you and your heirs, whether your gift is monetary, a bequest or an estate gift. We strongly recommend you consult with your financial advisor. We will be happy to meet with you and your family members, financial planner, attorney or other key people in your planning process to discuss the possibilities and how your gift may provide the greatest benefit to you and your heirs.
